Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Gretna Dragons (Gretna, NE) and the host North Star Navigators (Lincoln, NE), saw Gretna's basketball squad hold off North Star by a count of 57-53.

With the victory, Gretna upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Dragons host Millard South (Omaha, NE) to play the Patriots in a A District TBD challenge on Thursday, January 13. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. Millard South lost 67-55 in their recent league challenge against Creighton Prep (Omaha, NE)

Next up, the Navigators play the Norfolk Panthers (Norfolk, NE) in a A District TBD challenge, on Friday, January 14. North Star will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 58-38 non-league win over South Sioux City (South Sioux City, NE).
