In Saturday's league outing, the Hudson Catholic Hawks (Jersey City, NJ) basketball squad edged the visiting Union City Soaring Eagles (Union City, NJ), by a count of 38-37.

The Hawks (4-2) will now prepare for their outing against Snyder (Jersey City, NJ). The Tigers go into the Hudson County - American outing with a 6-0 record. In their last outing, Snyder held off Dwight Morrow (Englewood, NJ), 70-35, in a non-league outing.

The Soaring Eagles now hold a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bayonne for a Hudson County - American outing on Tuesday, January 11.
