Maryland High School Basketball - Wheaton can't hold off Blair
January 8, 2024: Silver Spring, MD 20901 The Blair Blazers basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Wheaton Knights to 64 in the Blazers non-league triumph on Monday.
The Blazers now sport a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Einstein for a non-league contest on Friday, January 12. Blair will battle a Titans team coming off a 77-47 league loss to Kennedy (Silver Spring, MD). The Titans record now stands at 4-6.
The Knights (0-8) will now prepare for their contest against Watkins Mill (Gaithersburg, MD). The Wolverines enter the non-league contest with a 1-10 record. In their last contest, Watkins Mill was nudged by Damascus (Damascus, MD), 57-40, in a league contest.
