Connecticut High School Basketball - Naugatuck tops Woodland Regional
January 8, 2024: Beacon Falls, CT 06403 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Naugatuck Greyhounds (Naugatuck, CT) and the host Woodland Regional Hawks (Beacon Falls, CT), saw Naugatuck's basketball squad knock off Woodland Regional by a count of 71-55.
With the victory, Naugatuck upgrades its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Amistad (New Haven, CT) to play the Wolves in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 10. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 1-4. Amistad lost 80-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Achievement First (Hartford, CT)
Next up, the Hawks play the Plainville Blue Devils (Plainville, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 10. Woodland Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 64-53 non-league win over Academy of Aerospace and Engineering (Windsor, CT).
