Cornerstone Christian Eagles (Rainsville, AL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rocket City Falcons (Huntsville, AL), 56-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cornerstone Christian upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Tabernacle (Gardendale, AL) to play the Torches in a Alabama Christian - 3A North bout on Friday, January 12. The Torches go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Tabernacle lost 47-34 in their recent non-league bout against Chilton Christian Academy (Jemison, AL)

Next up, the Falcons play the Evangel Christian Lightning (Alabaster, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Rocket City will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record.
