Alabama High School Basketball - Hokes Bluff tops Saks
January 8, 2024: Hokes Bluff, AL 35903 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Hokes Bluff Eagles (Hokes Bluff, AL) and the visiting Saks Wildcats (Anniston, AL), saw Hokes Bluff's basketball squad knock off Saks by a count of 55-35.
With the victory, Hokes Bluff upgrades its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Glencoe (Glencoe, AL) to play the Yellowjackets in a 3A Area 12 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 12-7. Glencoe won 51-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Comer (Sylacauga, AL)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Central of Clay County Volunteers (Lineville, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Saks will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Volunteers come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 55-32 non-league win over Cleburne County (Heflin, AL).
