Kansas High School Basketball - Yates Center triumphant over Chetopa
January 8, 2025: Yates Center, KS 66783 The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Yates Center Wildcats (Yates Center, KS) and the visiting Chetopa Hornets (Chetopa, KS), observed Yates Center's basketball team overwhelm Chetopa by a score of 68-47.
The Wildcats (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Oswego (Oswego, KS). The Indians come into the Three Rivers challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Oswego trounced Marmaton Valley (Moran, KS), 69-46, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Hornets encounter the Altoona-Midway Jets (Buffalo, KS) in a Three Rivers challenge, on Friday, January 10. Chetopa will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Jets come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 48-40 league win over Yates Center (Yates Center, KS).
