Illinois High School Basketball - Joliet Catholic trounced by Nazareth Academy
January 8, 2025: LaGrange Park, IL 60526 Nazareth Academy Roadrunners (LaGrange Park, IL) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers (Joliet, IL), 74-40 in a league match.
With the victory, Nazareth Academy advances its record to 14-2 on the year. The Roadrunners travel to Carmel (Mundelein, IL) to meet the Corsairs in a East Suburban Catholic match on Saturday, January 11. The Corsairs enter the match with a record of 7-11. Carmel lost 56-34 in their recent non-league match against Washington (Washington, IL)
The Hilltoppers now own a 6-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Benet Academy for a East Suburban Catholic match on Saturday, January 11. Joliet Catholic will meet a Redwings squad coming off a 71-35 league win over Marist (Chicago, IL). The Redwings record now stands at 16-1.
