Union Springs Wolves (Union Springs, NY) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Southern Cayuga Chiefs (Poplar Ridge, NY), 37-32 in a league match.

With the victory, Union Springs advances its record to 7-2 on the year. The Wolves host Moravia (Moravia, NY) to meet the Blue Devils in a Section 4 Interscholastic - North Small match on Tuesday, January 14. The Blue Devils enter the match with a record of 2-1. Moravia won 61-48 in their recent non-league match against Newfield (Newfield, NY)

The Chiefs now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Candor for a non-league match on Friday, January 10.
