In Thursday's league contest, the host Gooding Senators basketball team scored a close 51-46 win over the Filer Wildcats.

The Senators (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Homedale (Homedale, ID). The Trojans come into the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Homedale edged Baker (Baker City, OR), 64-58, in a non-league contest.

The Wildcats now own a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mountain Home for a non-league match on Friday, January 9. Filer will face a Tigers squad coming off a 58-45 league win over Wood River (Hailey, ID). The Tigers record now stands at 1-8.
