January 9, 2023: Fertile, MN 56540 Fertile-Beltrami Falcons (Fertile, MN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds (Mahnomen, MN), 72-56 in a league bout.
With the win, Fertile-Beltrami upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Falcons travel to East Grand Forks (East Grand Forks, MN) to play the Green Wave in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 5-3. East Grand Forks lost 64-59 in their recent league bout against Pelican Rapids (Pelican Rapids, MN)
Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal Titans (Twin Valley, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Mahnomen/Waubun will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 63-44 non-league loss to Fosston (Fosston, MN).
