February 2, 2023: Mahnomen, MN 56557 Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds (Mahnomen, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] Knights (Climax, MN), 82-50 in a league bout.
With the victory, Mahnomen/Waubun upgrades its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Park Christian (Moorhead, MN) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Monday, February 6. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 7-14. Park Christian lost 80-42 in their recent non-league bout against Fertile-Beltrami (Fertile, MN)
Next up, the Knights play the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons (Fertile, MN) in a A Section 8 bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record.
