Massachusetts High School Basketball - Gateway Regional holds off Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion
January 9, 2023: Huntington, MA 01050 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Gateway Regional Gators (Huntington, MA) and the visiting Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion (Hadley, MA), saw Gateway Regional's basketball squad hold off Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion by a tally of 32-30.
With the victory, Gateway Regional improves its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Smith Vo-Tech (Northampton, MA) to confront the Vikings in a Tri-County - South challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 4-4. Smith Vo-Tech won 63-57 in their recent non-league challenge against Pathfinder RVT (Palmer, MA)
Next up, the confront the Pioneer Valley Christian Eagles (Springfield, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 12. Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 60-42 league loss to St. Mary (Westfield, MA).
