Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons (Hammond, LA) and the visiting Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA), saw St. Thomas Aquinas's basketball squad hold off Hammond by a tally of 62-56.

With the victory, St. Thomas Aquinas improves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Amite (Amite, LA) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 11. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 2-6. Amite won 53-39 in their recent league challenge against Pine (Franklinton, LA)

Next up, the Tornadoes confront the Fontainebleau Bulldogs (Mandeville, LA) in a 5A District 6 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Hammond will attempt to improve on its 13-5 season record.
