Iowa High School Basketball - Sheldon knocked off by Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn
January 9, 2023: Sheldon, IA 51201 The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Sheldon Orabs to 57 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Monday.
The Hawks now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Bend-Mallard for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 12. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 47-43 non-league loss to Emmetsburg (Emmetsburg, IA). The Wolverines record now stands at 4-4.
The Orabs (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Hinton (Hinton, IA). The Blackhawks enter the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Hinton was defeated by Kingsley-Pierson (Kingsley, IA), 67-48, in a non-league contest.
