New Mexico High School Basketball - Cleveland tops Valley
January 9, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87107 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Cleveland Storm (Rio Rancho, NM) and the host Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM), saw Cleveland's basketball squad knock off Valley by a tally of 72-54.
With the victory, Cleveland improves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Storm host La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Bears in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 5-1. La Cueva won 43-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Vikings play the Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 11. Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Monarchs come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 83-39 non-league loss to West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM).
