January 9, 2023: Elgin, IL 60120 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL) and the visiting St. Edward Green Wave (Elgin, IL), saw Elgin's basketball squad overcome St. Edward by a tally of 42-33.
With the victory, Elgin improves its record to 6-13 on the campaign. The Maroons host South Elgin (South Elgin, IL) to confront the Storm in a Upstate Eight challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Storm come into the challenge with a record of 6-13. South Elgin lost 60-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Metea Valley (Aurora, IL)
Next up, the Green Wave confront the Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 11. St. Edward will attempt to improve on its 5-15 season record. The Royals come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 47-37 league loss to Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL).
