Vandalia Vandals (Vandalia, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Farina South Central Cougars (Farina, IL), 68-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Vandalia upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Vandals travel to Gillespie (Gillespie, IL) to clash with the Miners in a South Central bout on Thursday, January 12. The Miners go into the bout with a record of 11-9. Gillespie lost 62-53 in their recent non-league bout against Jersey (Jerseyville, IL)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg (Windsor, IL) in a National Trail bout, on Thursday, January 12. Farina South Central will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 59-22 non-league win over Martinsville (Martinsville, IL).
