Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Monterey Trail Mustangs (Elk Grove, CA) and the visiting Kennedy Cougars (Sacramento, CA), saw Monterey Trail's basketball squad overcome Kennedy by a tally of 59-47.

With the victory, Monterey Trail improves its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Grant (Sacramento, CA) to confront the Pacers in a Metropolitan Conference challenge on Wednesday, January 11. The Pacers come into the challenge with a record of 12-5.
