Maple Grove Crimson (Maple Grove, MN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Minnetonka Skippers (Minnetonka, MN), 78-65 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Maple Grove upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Crimson host Andover (Andover, MN) to clash with the Huskies in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Andover won 56-53 in their recent league bout against Anoka (Anoka, MN)

Next up, the Skippers clash with the Buffalo Bison (Buffalo, MN) in a AAAA Section 8 bout, on Friday, January 13. Minnetonka will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Bison go into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 69-61 non-league win over Sartell-St. Stephen (Sartell, MN).
