Fans at Monday's league challenge between the McKinley Tech Trainers (Washington, DC) and the visiting School Without Walls Penguins (Washington, DC), saw McKinley Tech's basketball squad hold off School Without Walls by a tally of 49-45.

With the victory, McKinley Tech improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Trainers travel to Jackson-Reed (Washington, DC) to play the Tigers in a DCSAA challenge on Wednesday, January 11. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 7-5. Jackson-Reed won 63-23 in their recent league challenge against Woodson (Washington, DC)

Next up, the Penguins play the Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering Panthers (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA challenge, on Wednesday, January 11. School Without Walls will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 2-0 league loss to Roosevelt (Washington, DC).
