Missouri High School Basketball - Purdy nips Wheaton
January 9, 2023: Purdy, MO 65734 Purdy Eagles (Purdy, MO) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Wheaton Bulldogs (Wheaton, MO), 45-38 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Purdy upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host Pierce City (Pierce City, MO) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 1-3.
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Jefferson Independent Day Cavaliers (Joplin, MO) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Wheaton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 64-49 non-league loss to Southwest (Washburn, MO).
