January 9, 2024: Winder, GA 30680 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA) and the host Apalachee Wildcats (Winder, GA), saw Gainesville's basketball squad overcome Apalachee by a tally of 66-50.
With the victory, Gainesville improves its record to 3-11 on the campaign. The Red Elephants host North Forsyth (Cumming, GA) to confront the Raiders in a AAAAAA Region 8 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 4-12. North Forsyth lost 70-45 in their recent league challenge against Shiloh (Snellville, GA)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Habersham Central Raiders (Mt. Airy, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 8 challenge, on Friday, January 12. Apalachee will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 12-3 record after their 59-58 league win over Gainesville (Gainesville, GA).
