Kansas High School Basketball - Field Kindley can't hold off Chanute
January 9, 2024: Coffeyville, KS 67337 The Chanute Blue Comets basketball team scored 46 points and held the host Field Kindley Golden Tornado to 42 in the Blue Comets non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Blue Comets now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Independence for a non-league contest on Friday, January 12. Chanute will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 57-47 non-league loss to Parsons (Parsons, KS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-6.
The Golden Tornado (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Scott (Fort Scott, KS). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 7-1 record. In their last contest, Fort Scott was nudged by Pittsburg (Pittsburg, KS), 60-58, in a non-league contest.
