January 9, 2024: Hastings, MI 49058 The Western Panthers basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host Hastings Saxons to 41 in the Panthers league victory on Tuesday.
The Panthers now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marshall for a Interstate Eight contest on Friday, January 12. Western will battle a Redhawks team coming off a 63-59 non-league win over Fowler (Fowler, MI). The Redhawks record now stands at 5-5.
The Saxons (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Pennfield (Battle Creek, MI). The Panthers come into the Interstate Eight contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Pennfield dropped by Harper Creek (Battle Creek, MI), 66-47, in a league contest.
