Tennessee High School Basketball - Powell knocked off by Karns
January 9, 2024: Knoxville, TN 37931 The Karns Beavers basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Powell Panthers to 55 in the Beavers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Beavers now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oak Ridge for a 4A District 3 contest on Friday, January 12. Karns will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 78-50 league win over Halls (Knoxville, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-5.
The Panthers (16-2) will now prepare for their contest against Campbell County (Jacksboro, TN). The Cougars enter the 4A District 3 contest with a 6-11 record. In their last contest, Campbell County was outscored by South-Doyle (Knoxville, TN), 77-64, in a non-league contest.
