Mississippi High School Basketball - Southeast Lauderdale knocked off by Kemper County
January 9, 2024: Meridian, MS 39301 The Kemper County Wildcats basketball team scored 62 points and held the host Southeast Lauderdale Tigers to 47 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Enterprise for a 3A Region 5 contest on Friday, January 12. Kemper County will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 50-44 non-league loss to Union (Union, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-11.
The Tigers (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Leake Academy (Madden, MS). The Rebels enter the non-league contest with a 20-7 record. In their last contest, Leake Academy ran past Lamar (Meridian, MS), 50-28, in a league contest.
