Texas High School Basketball - Wichita Christian knocked off by Petrolia
January 9, 2024: Wichita Falls, TX 76309 The Petrolia Pirates basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Wichita Christian Stars to 32 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Pirates now sport a 13-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Windthorst for a 2A Region II District 9 contest on Friday, January 12. Petrolia will battle a Trojans team coming off a 78-48 non-league loss to Perrin-Whitt (Perrin, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 13-8.
The Stars (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Holy Cross Academy (Amarillo, TX). The Mustangs enter the TAPPS 1A District 1 contest with a 4-2 record.
