Texas High School Basketball - Aledo fells Azle
January 9, 2024: Aledo, TX 76008 Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Azle Hornets (Azle, TX), 53-35 in a league bout.
With the win, Aledo upgrades its record to 21-8 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Granbury (Granbury, TX) to play the Pirates in a 5A Region I District 5 bout on Friday, January 12. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 16-9. Granbury won 52-29 in their recent league bout against Saginaw (Saginaw, TX)
Next up, the Hornets play the Brewer Bears (Fort Worth, TX) in a 5A Region I District 5 bout, on Friday, January 12. Azle will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 21-4 record after their 59-46 league win over Aledo (Aledo, TX).
