The Isabella Mustangs basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Central of Coosa County Cougars to 30 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fayetteville for a 2A Area 7 contest on Thursday, January 11. Isabella will battle a Wolves team coming off a 40-37 league loss to Thorsby (Thorsby, AL). The Wolves record now stands at 1-11.

Next up, the Cougars play the Childersburg Tigers (Childersburg, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Central of Coosa County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 69-56 league loss to Midfield (Midfield, AL).
