Corona del Mar Sea Kings (Newport Beach, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Edison Chargers (Huntington Beach, CA), 49-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Corona del Mar upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Sea Kings host Fountain Valley (Fountain Valley, CA) to play the Barons in a Surf bout on Thursday, January 11. The Barons go into the bout with a record of 12-9. Fountain Valley lost 72-40 in their recent league bout against Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA)

Next up, the Chargers play the Los Alamitos Griffins (Los Alamitos, CA) in a Surf bout, on Thursday, January 11. Edison will attempt to upgrade on its 5-16 season record. The Griffins go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 72-40 league win over Fountain Valley (Fountain Valley, CA).
