The Saint Jo Panthers (Saint Jo, TX) basketball nipped the host Forestburg Longhorns (Forestburg, TX), 46-40 in Tuesday's league test.

The Panthers (16-9) will now prepare for their test against Prairie Valley (Nocona, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 1A Region III District 22 test with a 4-12 record.

The Longhorns now own a 14-6 record. They play next when they host Savoy for a non-league test on Friday, January 12. Forestburg will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 39-12 league win over Ector (Ector, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 8-11.
