January 9, 2024: Millinocket, ME 04462 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) and the host Stearns Minutemen (Millinocket, ME), saw Katahdin's basketball squad overcome Stearns by a tally of 29-21.
With the victory, Katahdin improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to East Grand (Dansforth, ME) to confront the Vikings in a D North challenge on Thursday, January 11. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 0-5. East Grand lost 69-27 in their recent league challenge against Wisdom (St. Agatha, ME)
Next up, the Minutemen confront the Greenville Lakers (Greenville, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 12. Stearns will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Lakers come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 60-13 league loss to Valley (Bingham, ME).
