Illinois High School Basketball - Normal Community ripped by Lincoln

January 9, 2024: Normal, IL 61761

In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Lincoln Railsplitters basketball team scored a decisive 67-29 triumph over the Normal Community Ironmen.

In their next game, the Railsplitters meet the Lanphier Lions (Springfield, IL) in a Central State Eight match, on Saturday, January 13. Lincoln will attempt to move on its 20-0 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 4-11 record after their 61-42 non-league loss to Bloomington (Bloomington, IL).

With the defeat, Normal Community moves to 18-2 on the year. The Ironmen travel to Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL) to meet the Irish in a Big Twelve match on Thursday, January 11. The Irish enter the match with a record of 18-3. Peoria Notre Dame won 67-31 in their recent non-league match against Elmwood (Elmwood, IL)
