The Payson Lions basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Orem Tigers to 15 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Provo for a 4A Region 8 contest on Friday, January 12. Payson will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 58-32 league win over Timpanogos (Orem, UT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-9.

The Tigers (2-10) will now prepare for their contest against Uintah (Vernal, UT). The Utes enter the 4A Region 8 contest with a 3-10 record. In their last contest, Uintah was routed by Mountain View (Orem, UT), 34-28, in a league bout.
