Georgia High School Basketball - Walnut Grove overwhelms Seckinger
January 9, 2024: Buford, GA 30519 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA) and the host Seckinger Jaguars (Buford, GA), saw Walnut Grove's basketball squad wallop Seckinger by a tally of 75-24.
With the victory, Walnut Grove improves its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Warriors host North Oconee (Bogart, GA) to play the Titans in a AAAA Region 8 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 11-6. North Oconee lost 64-49 in their recent league challenge against Cherokee Bluff (Flowery Branch, GA)
Next up, the Jaguars play the Madison County Red Raiders (Danielsville, GA) in a AAAA Region 8 challenge, on Friday, January 12. Seckinger will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Red Raiders come into the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 41-39 league loss to Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA).
