Virginia High School Basketball - Wakefield victorious over Alexandria City

In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Wakefield Warriors basketball team scored a good 71-53 triumph over the Alexandria City Titans.

The Warriors (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against McLean (McLean, VA). The Highlanders go into the District 2 contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, McLean topped Queen City Prep (Charlotte, NC), 72-61, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Titans battle the West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA) in a District 4 contest, on Friday, January 10. Alexandria City will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record. The Wolverines go into the contest with a 3-7 record after their 79-76 league loss to South County (Lorton, VA).
