The West Springfield Spartans defeated the host Alexandria City Titans basketball squad by a final score of 71-61 in Tuesday's league outing.

Next, the Spartans clash with the West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA) in a District 4 outing, on Friday, January 24. West Springfield will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Wolverines come into the outing with a 6-8 record after their 56-49 league loss to Robinson (Fairfax, VA).
