Mississippi High School Basketball - Lamar Christian triumphant over Newton County Academy
January 9, 2025: Decatur, MS 39327 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Lamar Christian Lions (Purvis, MS) and the host Newton County Academy Generals (Decatur, MS), observed Lamar Christian's basketball team overwhelm Newton County Academy by a score of 61-20.
The Lions (19-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Sylva Bay Academy (Bay Springs, MS). The Saints come into the MAIS 3A District 3 challenge with a 14-4 record.
