Iowa High School Basketball - Turkey Valley sneaks past Riceville
January 9, 2025: Jackson Junction, IA 52171 The Turkey Valley Trojans basketball squad scored 69 points and held the visiting Riceville Wildcats to 64 in the Trojans non-league victory on Thursday.
With the victory, Turkey Valley advances its record to 5-6 on the year. The Trojans travel to Postville (Postville, IA) to face the Pirates in a Upper Iowa match on Friday, January 10. The Pirates enter the match with a record of 3-7. Postville lost 91-64 in their recent non-league match against Crestwood (Cresco, IA)
The Wildcats now own a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Don Bosco for a Iowa Star challenge on Tuesday, January 14. Riceville will encounter a Dons team coming off a 53-44 league loss to Dunkerton (Dunkerton, IA). The Dons record now stands at 6-5.
