The Weston Ranch Cougars basketball squad (Stockton, CA), was nudged 60-59 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Liberty Lions (Brentwood, CA)

With the victory, Liberty advances its record to 8-2 on the year. The Lions host Edison (Stockton, CA) to meet the Vikings in a non-league battle on Friday, January 10. The Vikings enter the battle with a record of 13-4. Edison won 63-20 in their recent non-league battle against Pittsburg (Pittsburg, CA)

The Cougars now own a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oakland Tech for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 11. Weston Ranch will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 47-40 non-league loss to Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-3.
