In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Choctaw County Tigers basketball team scored a close 33-30 win over the University Charter Trail Blazers.

The Tigers (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Sweet Water (Sweet Water, AL). The Bulldogs come into the 1A Area 4 contest with a 0-5 record.

In their next game, the Trail Blazers battle the Bibb County Choctaws (Centreville, AL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. University Charter will attempt to better on its 3-12 season record. The Choctaws come into the contest with a 4-7 record after their 48-22 league win over Holt (Holt, AL).
