North Carolina High School Basketball - Roanoke Rapids crushes Southeast Halifax

January 9, 2025: Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870

The Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets (Roanoke Rapids, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC), 64-28 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Yellowjackets now possess a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Bunn for a 2A/3A Big East bout on Friday, January 17. Roanoke Rapids will play a Wildcats team coming off a 44-41 league loss to Southern Nash (Bailey, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Southeast Halifax falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Trojans host Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC) to play the Tigers in a 1A Tar Roanoke bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 10-1. Wilson Prep won 60-35 in their recent league bout against Weldon (Weldon, NC)
