The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Valley Christian Lions (Roseville, CA) and the visiting Sacramento Adventist Capitals (Carmichael, CA), observed Valley Christian's basketball team knock off Sacramento Adventist by a score of 69-60.

The Lions (11-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Faith Christian (Yuba City, CA). The Lions come into the Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League challenge with a 12-2 record. In their last challenge, Faith Christian prevailed over Buckingham Charter (Vacaville, CA), 55-14, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Capitals battle the Sacramento Country Day Cavaliers (Sacramento, CA) in a Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League challenge, on Monday, January 13. Sacramento Adventist will attempt to improve on its 11-2 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 50-18 league loss to Western Sierra Collegiate Academy (Rocklin, CA).
