The Bessemer Academy Rebels basketball team scored 40 points and limited the visiting Cornerstone Christian Chargers to 26 in the Rebels non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Rebels now have a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Edgewood Academy for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. Bessemer Academy will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 44-12 league loss to Restoration Academy (Fairfield, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Cornerstone Christian falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Heritage Christian Academy (Hoover, AL) to confront the Eagles in a game on Tuesday, January 21. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 4-7.
