In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Fulton Steamers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders.

The Steamers (18-5) will now prepare for their battle against Pecatonica (Pecatonica, IL). The Indians come into the Northwest Upstate Illini battle with a 10-8 record. In their last battle, Pecatonica went down by Lena-Winslow (Lena, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Raiders encounter the Eastland Cougars (Lanark, IL) in a Northwest Upstate Illini battle, on Tuesday, October 4. Ashton-Franklin Center will attempt to move on its 2-16 season record. The Cougars come into the battle with a 8-10 record after their 2-0 league loss to Fulton (Fulton, IL).
