With the win, Pontotoc improves its record to 17-8 on the season. The Warriors travel to Lafayette (Oxford, MS) to encounter the Commodores in a Class 5A Region 1 battle on Thursday, October 3. The Red Raiders now own a 4-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Amory for a Class 4A Region 1 battle on Wednesday, October 2. Shannon will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Caledonia (Caledonia, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 17-13.
