October 3, 2025: Litchfield, IL Carlinville Cavaliers (Carlinville, IL) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Litchfield/Mt. Olive (Litchfield, IL), 48-35 in a league battle.
With the win, Carlinville improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Southwestern (Piasa, IL) to play the Piasa Birds in a South Central battle on Friday, October 10. The Piasa Birds come into the test with a record of 1-5. Southwestern lost 36-6 in their recent league test against Gillespie (Gillespie, IL)
With the defeat, Litchfield/Mt. Olive drops to 0-6 on the campaign. The travel to Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL) to meet the Hiltoppers in a South Central test on Friday, October 10. The Hiltoppers come into the test with a record of 3-3. Hillsboro won 43-20 in their recent league challenge against North Mac (Virden, IL)
