Colorado High School Football - Centaurus succumbs to Cheyenne Mountain

October 3, 2025: Colorado Springs, CO 80906

The Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks (Colorado Springs, CO) football knocked off the visiting Centaurus Warriors (Lafayette, CO), 54-35 in Friday's league outing.

The Red-Tailed Hawks now sport a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they host Sand Creek for a 4A I-25 outing on Friday, October 10. Cheyenne Mountain will clash with a Scorpions squad coming off a 61-0 league win over Thornton (Thornton, CO). The Scorpions record now stands at 6-0.

With the defeat, Centaurus drops to 4-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Gateway (Aurora, CO) to battle the Olympians in a 4A I-25 game on Friday, October 10. The Olympians enter the game with a record of 2-4. Gateway lost 52-7 in their recent league game against Grand Junction (Grand Junction, CO)
