October 3, 2025: Dubuque, IA 52001 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Central DeWitt (DeWitt, IA) and the host Wahlert Golden Eagles (Dubuque, IA), witnessed Central DeWitt's football squad edge Wahlert by a tally of 17-12.
The (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA). The Mustangs enter the 3A District 3 contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Mt. Vernon got by Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA), 34-14, in a league contest.
Next up, the Golden Eagles encounter the Assumption Knights (Davenport, IA) in a 3A District 3 contest, on Friday, October 10. Wahlert will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Knights enter the contest with a 4-2 record after their 42-7 league win over Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA).
